Djurgarden handed a 2-1 defeat to Allsvenskan at home to Orgryte today despite having both their goalscorers sent off.
Patrik Haginge put the home side in front in the 31st minute, but Alexander Mellqvist levelled eight minutes after the break.
Haginge was dismissed two minutes later to hand Orgryte the initiative, but Hrvoje Milic put Djurgarden back in front with a 60th-minute penalty.
Milic was then sent off in the 62nd minute, but Djurgarden held on desp! ite the two-man disadvantage.
The win moved Djurgarden a point ahead of Hammarby - who slipped to the foot of the table - and level on points with their opponents, who are third bottom.
Fourth-placed Kalmar moved to within three points of Elfsborg in third with a 1-1 draw at Helsingborg.
Ricardo Santos scored in the 30th minute for Kalmar to cancel out Rene Makondele's 10th-minute opener.
Helsingborg moved up to sixth with the point.
